How it works
From listing to a passed closed test
TestSlot connects app owners who need testers with real people who keep apps installed — and proves it happened. Here's the full flow for both sides.
For app owners
- 1
Sign up and add our tester group
Create an owner account (email or Google). In your Play Console closed test, add our single tester group email to the tester list. That one step grants every TestSlot tester access to your app — no per-tester invites.
- 2
List your app
Provide your package name, the Play opt-in URL, how many testers you need (Google wants at least 12), and the number of consecutive days (14 to satisfy the requirement). Your app goes live to testers.
- 3
Testers opt in and install
Testers browse your listing in the mobile app, opt in, and are taken straight to your Play opt-in link to join the closed test and install.
- 4
We verify daily, automatically
Each tester's phone runs a background check once a day, confirming your app is still installed, and reports to our server. Streaks are counted server-side.
- 5
Watch progress and pass
Your dashboard shows every tester's day count and status in real time. When enough testers complete 14 consecutive days, you've met the requirement.
For testers
- 1
Join once
Install the TestSlot Android app, sign in with Google, and join our tester group a single time. That covers every app on the platform.
- 2
Pick apps to test
Browse apps that need testers, opt in to the ones you want, and install them from the Play link.
- 3
Just keep them installed
The app verifies daily in the background — there's nothing to remember. Watch your streak climb toward each app's goal.
Why the verification holds up
- Server-side counting.Streak math uses our server's clock, so changing a phone's date does nothing.
- Tamper-proof state. The tester app can report only whether an app is installed — it cannot edit its own streak. Security rules forbid it.
- Real devices. Checks run on actual phones with the app installed, not emulators or scripts.
